What a silly question actually ... Our health is everything; even the slightest irregularity in our bodies makes us think the worst possible scenario. An awful illness will come to our minds immediately, even with a simple headache, as one symptom could point to many things.
That being said, I think being healthy should start early on in our childhood; we should not overfeed our babies and infants, while making sure they get enough nutrition for proper growth; it has been established that fat cells build up in childhood, making it more difficult to keep our weight at an optimum level in adulthood.
In adulthood, moderation is the key; eat in moderation, do not eat till you are FULL, as this will cause your body to work harder and not necessarily very efficiently. If you have ever tried extreme diets or an extreme exercise routine, it becomes clear shortly after that one is not able to continue it for long periods. Once you stop those routines, your body will go into a survival mode and store fat for "rainy days"; it is best to stick to a regular diet, in moderate portions, and moderate exercises that you can build into your life style. Very few of us can continue to go to the gym as often as we like; but we can walk regularly and as often as we like or as our time permits!
Unfortunately, we have become a nation of couch potatoes and bad eaters. Don't forget to encourage your family members to participate in outdoor
activities as much as possible. Keep your body healthy!
